Other than the first Sunday of each month, the Children’s Minister, Beverly Saunders, will meet the children kindergarten - 5th grade at the front of the Sanctuary when the offering is being taken. She then leads them to the Children’s rooms (second floor) for different activities with a biblical theme. Children remain in this room until you pick them up at the end of the worship service. Children may certainly remain with you in the sanctuary as well. Quiet activities (such as pages to color) for children staying in the worship service are provided in the vestibule. Communion is usually celebrated the first Sunday of each month, and on Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve.  All believers are invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper which is served by the Deacons to the seated congregation.

What kind of church is this?
Manly Memorial Baptist Church was started in 1841, and our building has been located at the corner of Main Street and Preston Street since 1920. The church is named in memory of Dr. Charles Manly who served as the pastor from 1903 to 1914 and was known as the “most universally beloved man in Lexington.”

The people of our congregation have come together to love God and love others in his name. To that end we seek to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service. Men and women share equally in all positions of service and leadership.
