Children acquire faith, little by little, starting from birth.
Our Preschool Division helps lay the foundation
for a child’s spiritual development, centered around God, Jesus, family, self-worth,
other relationships, and the world about them, based on Biblical truths.

Children's Classes

Grades K-2  and Grades 3-5

As a part of the Sunday morning Bible Study,
children will become familiar with the names and stories of God, Jesus, Bible personalities,
and key events recorded in the Bible.
They will be guided to embrace Christian attitudes toward self, others, their family, and the world around them.
Classes are grouped by school grade
and provide learning activities and experiences that are developmentally age appropriate.

Youth are led to explore their relationship to God and the world around them.
They learn what the Bible teaches about how Christian faith affects all areas of life and the choices they make.

They meet in the SS room before departing on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. 
They have a Bible Lesson and practice the Puppet Ministry on the 2nd and 4th Sundays
and go to a local retirement home on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Different activities planned for each Sunday of the month:
1st Sunday—Breakfast (provided) & Bible Study at Nikko’s
2nd Sunday—Bible Study/Puppet Ministry/Bible Games-at church
3rd Sunday---Sunday School “Reach Out” - Puppet Ministry at a retirement home
4th Sunday---Bible Study/Puppet Ministry/Bible Games at church
5th Sunday---Bible Study/Bible Games at church

and sharing God’s love with others.

The College Sunday School Class
ministers to students from VMI and W&L and other college age young adults.
The purpose of the class is to provide spiritual support for students
while they make their way through all the life-changing events that occur through the college age years.
 Join us as we seek God's guidance and direction for life through the study of His Word.

Adult Classes

 We believe that disciples of Jesus Christ should always be exploring and applying the truth of the Scriptures.
Whether the study and application of Biblical truth is a new experience to you,
or you have made the Bible your guidebook through life,
Manly Memorial offers opportunities for adults of all ages
to study the Bible within a community of friendship and mutual encouragement.

Young Adult  "Heart-to-Heart" Class

 Bible Study class for Christian fellowship, growth, and prayer support.
 The lesson is a different life-changing topic every Sunday.

  Location: Tardy Room (across from the church office)
   Leaders: Joan Joyce and  Jessica Quisenberry

Senior Ladies’ Class
Currently using Lifeway’s “Family Bible Study.”
An in-depth class which attempts to understand the people
and their situations as portrayed in our lessons.
We make every effort to understand what God says as he speaks to us
from the pages of the Old Testament
and what Jesus says as he speaks
from the pages of the New Testament,
as well as, the Lord's purpose in our own lives and in the world today.

We welcome anyone who would like to join us!

Location: Ladies' SS Classroom (elevator room) on main floor.
Leaders: Margaret Kirkland, Elaine Mears, Phyllis Shreve, Lois Valentine, & Barbara Vaughan. 

Senior Men’s Class
Currently using Lifeway’s "Life Ventures Bible Study for Life.
Each month has a study theme, broken into four or five lesson segments. 

 The importance of our Sunday School is two-fold:
to increase our knowledge of the Bible
and fellowship among the class members.
We welcome new members.

Location: Men's SS classroom on main floor.
Leaders: Fred Vaughan, Carrol Shotwell, Bob Mears and Gordon Valentine.

Heritage Hall
  A team from Manly Memorial has been leading a worship service
at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home for many years.
The worship service is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each Sunday,
except the first Sunday of the month at which time another group leads the service.
The residents love to sing and hear the scripture read and explained. 

Location: Dining Room
Leaders: Edith Vaughn-Parker, Roberta Grist, and Clyde Keen.
Pianist: Jerri Keen

Truck Stop Ministry

  Devotional services for visiting and local truckers.
Services are conducted from 9-10 am
and include LifeWay Sunday school and other bible-based materials.
Truckers often alter their travel routes for the fellowship and sharing offered at the Travel Center.  Most are devout Christians and are eager to share their personal testimonies
on how they came to know Christ as their personal Savior. 
This is truly an exciting and rewarding outreach mission for all.

Location: Lee Hi Travel Center chapel
Leaders: Woody Mumma, Dr. Charles O'Roark and Fred Vaughan.

 Men’s Bible Study at VMI

 Come join us for this weekly time of fellowship and Bible study.
Location: VMI’s Moody Hall. 
Thursday mornings, 7:00-8:00a.m.
